GRAPHIC ARTIST – MARKETING DEPARTMENT
Job Summary
Provision of creative solutions for sales and promotion collateral required for the Sales, Marketing & Communications Department.
The Graphic Artist will work closely with the Director of Sales, Marketing & Communications and the Manager Marketing & Communications.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the concept, design and maintenance of various collateral within the Sales, Marketing & Communications Department.
- Developing concept, design and preparation of various material including catalogs, brochures, packaging, POP, website concepts, ads, etc in line with brand identity
- Responsible for size and arrangements of illustrative and design materials
- Responsible for offering creative alternative typographical and layout solutions
- Reviews illustrative materials, conducts project design related research and regularly meets with the team to ensure proper execution of assignments
- Researches stock photo and other resources for suitable photographic or illustrative solutions for evaluation
- Formatting and developing layout for print vendors
- Communicating with internal customers and external vendors regarding design specs and timelines
- Responsible for execution of layouts for other projects as applicable
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- 3-4 years of corporate or agency design experience
- Must be proficient in design programs including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, PageMaker, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop and Power Point
- Diploma or Associate Degree in design, art or related discipline
Compentencies Requiremented
- Must exhibit knowledge of design fundamentals and techniques
- Ability to clearly articulate strategy and intent of design
- Ability to see the “big picture” position and affect of creative projects
- Ability to implement creative guidelines, and articulate strategy
- Well versed in PC environments
- PC and Mac Experience Required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as work independently and with minimum supervision
- Ability to organize and manage simultaneous projects with strong proof reading skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently with tight deadlines and in fast paced environments
- Ability to work extended hours if necessary

Warehouse and Inventory Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY :
Receives, issues and coordinate shipment of merchandise or materials.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains inventory records and schedules.
- Issues materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse to internal and external contractors.
- Verifies shipment received and receipts into Solomon inventory.
- Verifies receipt of stock ordered, reconciling any discrepancies on invoices; computes unit prices for stock received and records all receipt and pricing information in inventory.
- Reconciles inventory record with warehouse reports of stock on hand periodically and annually, making appropriate adjustments for loss and gain of actual inventory.
- Communicates with Purchasing and Finance to ensure proper documentation is received and retained for record retention and to compile stock reports.
- Coordinates and assists in quarterly physical inventory and dump of idle obsolete or damaged materials.
- Works with Warehouse floor Supervisor and uses the current inventory system so that: we know how much material we have, where it is, making it available when needed, re-orders are initiated to prevent stock-outs, all transactions are recorded, usage is tracked and reports are provided to clients as required.
- Works to assist the warehouse clerks in fulfilling all daily orders.
- Maintains stock records and schedules.
- Performs any other duties related to the job function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety: Maintain a safe working environment. Report any unsafe conditions.

- Warehouse organization and cleanliness
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivilant
- Level 1 or 2 CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) course
- 2-5 years similar or related experience in inventory management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent Communications Skills.
- Basic inventory Skills
- Windows program operations and MIS interaction
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Inside production environment
- Steel toed boots when working in the warehouse (provided)

VIDEO PRODUCTION CO-ORDINATOR
SUMMARY:
Provision of creative solutions for video content as required for the Sales, Marketing & Communications Department.
The Video Production Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Sales, Marketing & Communications and the Manager Marketing & Communications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate pre and post production of video content as required by the Sales, Marketing & Communications Department:
- Conduct all pre and post video production activities, inclusive of graphic work, editing, conversion and dubbing of material
- Generate and develop creative ideas and concepts based on brief provided
- Scheduling, coordination and crewing of studio and general video productions, inclusive of location, lighting, sound and talent
- Liaise with external suppliers as required
- Create and edit graphics and animation
- Perform tape dubs
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in television production or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in the field of Television Production, inclusive of video graphics and editing
- Must have knowledge of pre and post television production
- Must be proficient in design and use of video editing software including Final Cut, Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects
- Experience shooting video and recording audio
- Ability to coordinate shoots, edit and produce quality video pieces
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Must exhibit knowledge of design fundamentals and techniques
- Previous experience in non-linear video editing, video system configuration and software maintenance as well as knowledge of Photoshop and After-Effects required
- Basic knowledge of directing video production an asset
- Ability to clearly articulate strategy and intent of design
- Ability to see the “big picture” position and affect of creative projects
- Ability to implement creative guidelines, and articulate strategy
- Well versed in PC environments and studio environments
- PC and Mac Experience Required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
