Employees of Columbus Communications Trinidad Limited (Flow) can now access free and confidential counseling and support services through the Company’s recently launched Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
This service is being provisioned by Elder Associates Limited, a private service firm offering a full spectrum of psychological services to organisations, individuals and their immediate families.
Mrs. Debra Thomas, the Company’s Director of Human Resources, explained that the launch of the EAP services serves as a major benefit to employees. She explained, “We recognise that problems, regardless of the nature, can adversely affect an employee’s job performance. The Employee Assistance Program, will provide confidential assistance to provide our employees and their families with the support they need to identify and resolve their problems”.
Mrs. Thomas was confident that this service will “ultimately restore and strengthen the mental and physical health of our team and improve the productivity in the workplace”. This launch is one of a series of initiatives to enhance the benefits available to Flow employees. These include technical and customer service certification through National Cable Training Institute (NCTI), a US-based training institute, enhanced Productivity Incentive Bonus Plan and Education Assistance Programs.
