From Wednesday 16th August, 2006 Flow cable customers will enjoy a wider variety of local programming with the launch of two local channels to its existing channel line up: Advanced Community Television Station Channel 25 (ACTS 25) and The Parliament Channel.
ACTS 25, referred to as “The Family Educational and Inspirational Channel - Shaping people to change the world”, has been broadcasting nationally for almost one year, focusing on family, education and inspiration-based programming suited to the entire family.
The Parliament Channel (PARL), is a cable-only station which will broadcast live Parliamentary debates and activities and is geared towards re-defining democracy, and giving the general public the opportunity to become more involved in the local democratic process.
According to Shelly Ann Hee Chung, Flow’s Marketing and Communications Manager, “Flow is committed to providing varied content and programming, suited to all viewing preferences. The addition of ACTS25 and Parliament Channel is all part of the Company’s long term strategy to fulfilling these objectives.”
ACTS 25 can be viewed on Channel 9 and The Parliament Channel on Channel 11. As a result, BET will be broadcast on Channel 64 and TBN on Channel 69.
