Effective November 1, 2007, there will be an increase to the monthly rates charged for Flow residential analog and digital cable television services by 6%; rates will increase from $197.40 per month VAT Inclusive (VI) to $210 (VI).
Mr. John Reid, President and Chief Operating Officer at Flow said that the rate increases were the first in five (5) years for residential cable customers. Mr. Reid explained, “There have been significant increases in programming costs, human resource costs and customer-centric operational expenditures in recent years. Yet, the increase being applied by Flow is still less than the recent one-year annual increase in inflation in Trinidad.”
He continued, “Despite these ever increasing operational expenses and the adjustments which take effect in November, Flow’s rates remain competitive and compare very favourably to those charged by other operators in the Caribbean.”
Effective January 1, 2008, monthly rates for Flow digital theme packs will also increase from $24.99 (VI) to $29.99 (VI) and in the case of ‘Flow en Espanol’, from $9.99 (VI) to $14.99 (VI). ‘Flow Your Own’ will also be increased from $29.99 (VI) to $34.99 (VI). There will be no change to the monthly fee for ‘Flow a la Carte’ channels.
