Flow announces the launch of its landline telephone service, “U-talk”, in its digital areas throughout Trinidad. This launch marks yet another achievement in the local telecommunications industry and recognises Flow as the first ‘Triple Play’ provider in the market, with three core services carried on its digital network: Cable TV, Broadband and now landline Voice services.

Last year Flow played a major role in transforming the local broadband market with the launch of its ‘U-click’ Broadband service.

Mr. John Reid, Flow President and Chief Operating Officer, commented on this milestone both in reference to the Company’s brief history in Trinidad and to the local telecoms market, “after two years of technical and legal preparation, we are pleased to launch our state-of-the-art landline voice service, representing the third phase of our ‘triple play’ service offering. This launch also marks the completion of Flow’s transformation into a full service telecommunications company, an achievement of which the employees of Flow are extremely proud”.

U-talk’s features include a hassle-free activation process, with the service being provided through the same cable modem that is used to support Flow’s U-click service. As a result, all existing ‘U-click’ Broadband customers can immediately access the ‘U-talk’ service by plugging any telephone into the active port on their modem, dial 998 and listen to a recording that will provide an assigned telephone number.

As an introductory offer, U-talk customers can make free calls between Flow telephone customers. Regular U-talk features include a standard rate for calls anywhere in Trinidad (18 cents); International Rates as low as 50 cents per minute (to UK, US & Canada); Number Portability in Flow’s digital areas, as well as a number of Free Standard Calling Features.

“We believe that consumers, businesses and the broader Trinidad community will see the benefits of our new telephone service”, added Reid. “Flow continues to invest in our infrastructure and in our people as we strive to provide excellence in service delivery across all of our product lines,” Mr. Reid concluded.

Customers can receive additional information on Flow’s U-talk Service at www.flowtrinidad.com or by contacting Flow on its new Customer Care Centre number 223-FLOW (3569).
