Recent emails on Flow Service Calls & Security Concerns

Recently, there have been several emails circulating about persons purporting to be Flow employees and contacting customers with details of their service. There have also been reports of technicians visiting customers’ homes to complete service calls without advance notification. Flow’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. John Reid wishes to reassure customers that the Company is very concerned about the safety and well being of all customers and the privacy of customer information. He stated, “Full investigations were conducted on each situation brought to our attention and we were able to confirm that these were legitimate Flow service calls which were scheduled by our Installation Department.” He explained that the issues developed when service calls were NOT noted on the system on the respective customers’ account. This resulted in conflicting communication to customers on the legitimacy of the service call when contact was made to Flow’s Customer Care Centre. He assured that procedures have since been implemented to eliminate the reoccurrence of similar miscommunication and concern to customers. Mr. Reid emphasized, “Flow has and will continue to take any measure necessary to guarantee the safety of our customers.” The public is advised that ALL Flow technicians are issued company identification badges and are required to wear Flow- branded uniforms. Customers are also urged to request identification from any Flow employee BEFORE allowing them access to their homes. If still not comfortable with the legitimacy of the employee, customers should contact our Customer Care Centre at 223-FLOW (3569) for verification. Call Centre representatives can be contacted Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Flow takes the opportunity to reassure the public that the company has and will continue to take our customers’ safety into full regard and will take all precautions necessary to ensure same.
