Port of Spain, Wednesday 29th June, 2011: Columbus Communications Trinidad Limited (Flow) was recognized as one of the leading companies for female executives in Trinidad and Tobago, based on a survey done by the Association for Female Executives of Trinidad and Tobago (AFETT) for 2011. Flow was presented with their award at the event, held at the Hyatt Regency, Port‐of‐Spain on Tuesday 28th June, 2011 that recognized the top ten finalists.
Flow’s Group Head – Human Resources, Mrs. Debra Thomas, who collected the award on the Company’s behalf, reiterated Flow’s dedication to providing a dynamic and forward thinking work environment. “In an industry that is fast‐paced, technologydriven and competitive, Columbus has always strived to create a work environment that promotes equity at all levels for our employees, regardless of background, gender or education and we will continue to ensure that our policies reflect this. The criteria for the awards were based on the highest percentage of senior female decision makers, women and leadership policies and the highest number of work/life balance policies and non‐cash benefits. The result of the survey indentified the top five local companies, overall whose policies and practices offer the most opportunities for professional development and personal fulfillment for female employees.
