Brian Collins
Managing Director

Mr. Brian Collins is a seasoned leader who joined Columbus Communications with 11 years experience in the international telecommunications industry.

His telecoms career commenced in 1999 when he joined Esat Telecom as Senior Financial Controller. His responsibilities extended to the strategic development of new business and the continual development of existing business segments across Ireland. In 2004, after contributing to the success of Esat Telecom, Mr. Collins was recruited by the Irish Telecommunications Regulator as a Senior Wholesale Pricing Manager. He was responsible for developing a competitive strategy for the Telecommunications industry, with the aim of promoting competition and expanding the telecoms market generally.

In September 2005, he joined Digicel Jamaica as Finance Director, his tenure spanned a period of four years. He played an integral role in maintaining Digicel’s dominant position and was integral in developing the ICT strategy for Digicel in the Jamaican market. His wealth of experience extends to Fixed & Mobile Voice and Internet, Regulatory Pricing and Compliance, Wi-max(4G) and now Cable TV. Mr. Collins is a Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and holds a University EMBA in Telecommunications. He has also completed a host of industry specific training programmes. His outstanding analytical skills combined with his strong operational background in telecommunications, is a great asset to Columbus Communications. 

 

Pamela Warner
Vice President, Finance & Administration, Southern Caribbean

Ms. Pamela Warner has more than 20 years of financial and administrative experience spanning both private and public sector companies, including telecommunications, manufacturing, retailing, construction, ship repair and building, service-based industries, health and charitable organisations.

Ms. Warner has been in the telecommunications industry for over 12 years, during which she advised on the strategic direction, objectives, policies and operations of the company and specifically in the areas of finance, internal audit, tax, company secretarial, management accounting, statutory and international financial reporting standards compliance.

Ms. Warner is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She is also a member of the Trinidad & Tobago Transparency Institute, the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Commerce and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Kendo Federation of Trinidad and Tobago (NGO). 

 

Rhea Yaw Ching
Group Head, Sales, Marketing & Communications, Southern Caribbean Region

Mrs. Rhea Yaw Ching currently spearheads the strategic and execution plans to support Flow’s revenue objectives in Trinidad, Grenada and Curacao. Mrs. Yaw Ching started her career at Flow working in the Trinidad operation as Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications where she championed the start up, launch and establishment of digital video, data and voice services, ensured the enhancement of its brand and competitive positioning, as well as driving the link between the Company’s corporate objectives and the community in which it operates.

Prior to joining the Columbus Group in 2005, Mrs. Yaw Ching gained much of her multi-faceted experience in the evolving sales and marketing environment having worked with several multinational corporations and powerful consumer brands such as Coca-Cola, Kraft and 3M. Mrs. Yaw Ching holds a B.Sc. Business Management degree from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from Warwick Business School in England and is a 2010/2011 board member of CTAM Caribbean Chapter.

 

Shadrac Singh
Vice President, Technical Operations

Mr. Shadrac Singh has a tremendous amount of experience in the entertainment and telecommunications industry and has played a major role in the growth and development of the local cable television industry since its inception in 1992. During his tenure, he operated in many capacities, including Field Supervisor and Technical Engineer.

His experience is wide-spanned, covering all aspects of planning, design and engineering, construction, satellite transmission and maintenance of the interactive network and its overall operation. He has been with Flow or its predecessors for 16 years. He gained much of his industry training as a member of the Society of Cable TV Engineers and continues to be involved with the Caribbean Cable and Telecommunications Association.

 

Kent Western
Vice President, Service Delivery

Mr. Western is accountable for providing leadership in all matters pertaining to customer interactions as the Director of Service Delivery at Flow. He is responsible for managing and overseeing the Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Dispatch functions within the Company, providing superior customer service that maximises customer satisfaction and ensures that Customer Service activities support the operations plan, business goals and quality assurance standards.

With a history of over 12 years in customer service and management positions, Mr. Western has developed and implemented effective strategic plans and streamlined department operations, driving quality team performance and assurance. He has also demonstrated and promoted team commitment to providing unparalleled customer service, maintaining exceptional client relationships and elevating the Company's reputation through the delivery of high service standards.

Before joining Flow as Customer Service Manager in May 2006, he spent 10 years in the aviation industry, working with leading international companies, including American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, with his last post being the Manager of Airport Operations.

 

Debra Thomas
Vice President, Human Resources, Southern Caribbean

Mrs. Debra Thomas has over 15 years' work experience in the field of Human Resource Management and has been responsible for many of the Company’s human resource initiatives since 2003.

Prior to joining Flow, Mrs. Thomas was the Group HR Manager at the Agostini Group of Companies. She also worked at the National Gas Company (NGC) for three years and at the Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Company (T&TEC) for eight years. She has also lectured part-time at several tertiary level institutions, including INTAD and SBCS. Mrs. Thomas specialises in Management, Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and Organisational Development.

Mrs. Thomas holds a B.Sc. Business Management degree and a M.Sc. degree in Management Studies specialising in Human Resource Management from University of the West Indies.

 

Sufian Almasalha
Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Sufian Almasalha has over 20 years' experience as a Chief Engineer in the telecommunications industry and worked at Comcast Cable before joining Flow in 2007. Mr. Almasalha oversees the RF and Fibre network architecture at Flow, ensuring that the infrastructure is consistent with the Corporate design template, while supporting a robust delivery of current and advanced services. In his capacity as Director of Engineering, Mr. Almasalha also oversees all facilities, including technical sites, and the Company’s fleet of vehicles.

At Comcast, he was responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of technical and operational programs related to Network Design and the deployment of new products and services. He has built and upgraded several cable systems ranging in size from 50,000 customers to over 200,000 customers has led teams of engineers throughout his career. He was involved in projects that spanned over several U.S. states and connected major Headend with fibre infrastructure that acted as the vanguard of many services at a lower cost to the company while establishing a role in the universal lineup.

Mr. Almasalha holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering from the University of Houston.

 

Winston Parsons
Vice President, Construction & Stores

Mr. Winston Parsons has almost 25 years' experience in the cable television industry. He started his career in 1985 as a Service Technician at Bay St. George Cablevision, a cable TV operator in Newfoundland, Canada, which was subsequently acquired by Persona Communications in 1988.

In 1991, Mr. Parsons was promoted to Chief Technician and continued in that role until 1994 when he was promoted to Technical Supervisor, assuming responsibility for the management and performance of approximately 40 technical field employees and dispatch personnel.

Mr. Parsons has successfully completed numerous educational programs to support his career advancement. These include a certificate program in Electrical Power Utilities; and Certificates in Installation, Technical Service and Fibre optics, Cisco Networking, Project Management, Supervision and Electrical Safety, and Return Path Operations from (NCTI), the widely acclaimed technical institution for the cable television industry.

Mr. Parsons has been employed with Flow since 2005.
